VERSE:
Psalm 84:10
10 Better is one day in your courts than a thousand elsewhere; I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of the wicked.
LESSON:
How would you like to be a doorman? In this verse the writer says that he would rather be the doorman in the house of God...than dwell in the tents of the wicked. In slightly different words, what the writer is really telling us is that he would rather work hard to follow God's direction (even if it is sometimes very tough to follow), than hang around leisurely with evil people.
