VERSE:
Hebrews 1:1-2
1 In the past God spoke to our ancestors through the prophets at many times and in various ways, 2 but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom also he made the universe.
LESSON:
In the Old Testament times God connected with his people in many ways. Some direct and some very indirect. In New Testament times, God sent Jesus as his most direct messenger to reach and teach his people. Even today, we are his people, and God wants to reach each and every one of us. Take this time during Advent to connect with God. One of the best ways to do that is to read the Bible. The Bible is God written messages for each of us. Try to spend a little time each day reading a verse or two. Focus especially on chapters and verses that contain the words of Jesus. As this verse tells us, God spoke through his Son Jesus. It is up to us to take the time to listen.
