VERSE:
Romans 5:10 (New International Version)
10 For if, when we were God's enemies, we were reconciled to him through the death of his Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through his life!
LESSON:
Was there a purpose in Jesus' death?
Yes...there was a "Life and Death" purpose. This verse tells us that "...we were reconciled to him (God) through the death of his Son...". It further tells us that we will be "...saved through his life!". So, our salvation and being reconciled to God was dependent upon Jesus' death on our behalf.
