Acts 1:3 (New International Version)
3 After his suffering, he showed himself to these men and gave many convincing proofs that he was alive. He appeared to them over a period of forty days and spoke about the kingdom of God.
LESSON:
What proofs do we have that Jesus arose from the dead?
This verse is only one of many that recount eyewitness testimony from those who saw and heard Jesus after he had risen from the dead. This verse tells us that Jesus "...showed himself..." and "...gave many convincing proofs that he was alive...". He did this for a 40 day period after Easter Sunday. He even "...spoke about the kingdom of God" to those who were witnesses.
