LESSON:
What was the "Good News" from the tomb?
The news was given by an Angel to those who showed fear at the sight of the Angel. It was given to those seeking Jesus. A crucified Jesus. A Jesus no longer of this world. The news from the Angel was that Jesus was not there. Was that "Good News" or was that "Bad News"? It was extremely "Good News". "...he has risen..." was the news that the Angel proclaimed. Even more "Good News". He had risen..."...just as he said...". We can rely upon the words of Jesus...as he has done what he said he would.
