What other Old Testament Verses predicted the events of Easter?

VERSE:

Isaiah 53:5-6 (New International Version)

5 But he was pierced for our transgressions,
he was crushed for our iniquities;
the punishment that brought us peace was upon him,
and by his wounds we are healed.

6 We all, like sheep, have gone astray,
each of us has turned to his own way;
and the LORD has laid on him
the iniquity of us all.

LESSON:

What other Old Testament Verses predicted the events of Easter?

This verse actually speaks to at least two predictions concerning Jesus Christ, the Messiah, and his impact on us and the rest of the world. On the one hand it discusses what happened to Jesus on our behalf. It proclaims that our transgressions, iniquities and punishment were assumed by Christ, so that we might have peace and be healed. Secondly, it states that we have all gone astray, turned away from God to seek our own way, but in spite of this...our iniquity was carried by the LORD (Jesus Christ).
