VERSE:
1 John 2:4
4 The man who says, "I know him," but does not do what he commands is a liar, and the truth is not in him.
LESSON:
This verse is talking about Christians who say they are...but do not do what Jesus commanded us to do. It is very direct. There can be no confusion about what the writer is saying. This verse puts it in much stronger language. Bottom line, if you say you follow Jesus...but do not demonstrate that by your actions...then you are not truthful.
