VERSE:
Proverbs 27:1
1 Don’t brag about tomorrow, since you don’t know what the day will bring.
LESSON:
This verse reminds us that we simply need to live "one day at a time". There is no use promising someone what you will do tomorrow, or how much you will accomplish, or how great something will be tomorrow...as only the Lord knows what tomorrow will bring. We may have hopes and dreams for tomorrow...and that is "OK". But we must learn that "God is in control", not us and not others who might tell us that they know what will happen tomorrow (remember the weatherman...I have heard that there are statistics that show that weathermen are only correct slightly more than 50% of the time. Flipping a coin is almost as accurate). Remember...we can wish and hope for something to happen tomorrow...but only God knows what will happen tomorrow. Rely upon God...more than you rely upon the weatherman.
