VERSE:
Isaiah 55:8-9
8 "For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
neither are your ways my ways,"
declares the LORD.
9 "As the heavens are higher than the earth,
so are my ways higher than your ways
and my thoughts than your thoughts.
LESSON:
This verse reminds us that we don't think of the same things that God thinks about...and that God's thoughts are higher than our thoughts. On some days, most of our thoughts somehow revolve around "me". Wants, needs, hopes, disappointments. The Bible encourages us to grow spiritually...so that eventually our thoughts will be more like God's thoughts. Thinking pure things. Thinking about others. Can you spend some time today asking yourself...what would God want me to think in this situation? Pray that God will give you discernment to better understand how to have Godly thoughts...rather than merely human thoughts. So, what is on your mind today?
