VERSE:
John 3:20-21
20 Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that his deeds will be exposed. 21 But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what he has done has been done through God."
LESSON:
This verse compares evil to darkness...and Godly living to light. Those who do evil....fear the light (God's light) as their evil deeds may have "light shown on them", or in other words, their deeds would be exposed to others to see. An interesting side lesson on the choice of the word "Light" in this verse is that in other Bible verses...Jesus is described as "...the light of the world".
