VERSE:
1 John 2:1
1 My dear children, I write this to you so that you will not sin. But if anybody does sin, we have one who speaks to the Father in our defense—Jesus Christ, the Righteous One.
LESSON:
You should not have to think too long about this question in order to honestly admit..."Yes...I have messed up". All is not lost. The Bible says that we have all sinned ("messed up"). But thankfully, that is NOT the end of the story. Through the Grace of God...we have Jesus "...who speaks to the Father in our defense...". What a wonderful assurance! Jesus loves us so much that he is our defender...even when we have "messed up". Our goal for today...try our best not to "mess up" again today. Just take it one day at a time, and do your best.
