VERSE:
Ephesians 4:29
29 Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen.
LESSON:
Did you ever hear your Mom or Dad say "Watch that mouth"? They were telling you to watch what you say...as you were saying something inappropriate. This verse also talks about the same subject. It tells us what to not say...and what to say. Don't say = "...any unwholesome talk...". Do say = "...what is helpful for building other up...". We should all think before we allow words to come out of our mouth. Are we ready to say a "don't" sentence...or a "Do" sentence.
