VERSE:
John 14:21 and 14:23-24
21 Whoever has my commands and obeys them, he is the one who loves me. He who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love him and show myself to him."
AND
23 Jesus replied, "If anyone loves me, he will obey my teaching. My Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him. 24 He who does not love me will not obey my teaching. These words you hear are not my own; they belong to the Father who sent me.
LESSON:
Talk is cheap. Action is priceless. This verse calls us to do something that should be easy, but in the world that we live in, it actually may be the hardest thing that you are asked to do. Jesus calls us to be people that have (know) his "...commands and obeys them...". He also calls us to be people whom "...will obey my teachings". What do we get from Jesus (God) in return? We will be loved...and they will continue to be with us always.
