Do you ever feel down?

VERSE:

Psalm 42:11

11 Why are you downcast, O my soul?
Why so disturbed within me?
Put your hope in God,
for I will yet praise him,
my Savior and my God.

LESSON:

We all have good days and bad days in life. Handling the goods days in life is rather easy. It is how we handle the bad days in life that should set us Christians apart from the rest of society. In this verse the writer is obviously having a bad day. What is important, is how the writer responds to the situation. Sometimes you need to ask yourself...why am I feeling down? Why do I feel the way I do today? In this verse the writer gives us a response pattern that we should try to emulate. In spite of feeling down, the writer calls us to "...Put your hope in God...", to "praise him..." and to have faith that God will always be your "Savior".
