Does the Lord promise to be with us always and everywhere?
VERSE:
Joshua 1:9 (New International Version)
9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go."
LESSON:
The short answer is "Yes". If you read this verse backwards...reading the final sentence first...you will see why.
This verse tells us that "...the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go...".
Everywhere. Always.
How should this promise from God make us feel? This verse tells us that we should "...Be strong and courageous...". We are to "...not be terrified..." and are also told to "...not be discouraged. Why? Because..."...the LORD your God will be with you...".
