VERSE:
Proverbs 1:22
22 "How long will you who are simple love your simple ways? How long will mockers delight in mockery and fools hate knowledge?
Proverbs 1:29
29 since they hated knowledge and did not choose to fear the LORD.
LESSON:
What qualities must we have to be "Effective" and "Productive" Christians? (Knowledge). This verse tells us that we need a special kind of knowledge. It is not a knowledge that we can learn from reading just any old book, or watching the average educational TV station. This knowledge comes from God, through the Bible. This verse asks all of us how long we will make fun of (mock) the knowledge that comes only from God. It tells us that if you reject the LORD, you are also rejecting knowledge by showing that you actually hate "true knowledge".
