VERSE:
1 Peter 4:10-11 (New International Version)
10 Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God's grace in its various forms. 11 If anyone speaks, he should do it as one speaking the very words of God. If anyone serves, he should do it with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen.
LESSON:
How should we respond to God's Grace?
This verse calls Christians to respond to God's Grace (Freely given by God, but not earned by any of us) to "...use whatever gift he has received to serve others...". It calls us to learn what God's gifts are to each of us...and then to use them by "...faithfully administering God's grace in its various forms...". Some of us may be called to "speak" up for God, and other of us may be called to serve. I very much like the next part of this verse which reads: "...If anyone serves, he should do it with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ...". Read this porting over a few times...and ponder it's deep meaning. Why should we do this? "...so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ..."
