Proverbs 17:17 (New International Version)
17 A friend loves at all times,
and a brother is born for adversity.
LESSON:
What qualities must we have to be "Effective" and "Productive" Christians? (Brotherly/Sisterly Love) This verse tells us that a friend will love at all times...and that a brother (sister) is born for adversity. It reminds us that we can count most on our friends and family members...but seems to be stressing that you can count on your brothers/sister...when times are the toughest for you (adversity). We should all strive to be the kind of brothers/sisters...that love at all times, like a friend...and will be there for our brothers/sisters...during their times of adversity.
