Trials and Temptations
2 Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, 3 because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. 4 Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.
LESSON:
What qualities must we have to be "Effective" and "Productive" Christians? (Perseverance). This verse tells us that we should be happy when we face trials (Christian trials) in our life, because the testing of our faith will develop perseverance. It further tells us that through this testing of our faith, we will become more "...mature and complete, not lacking anything." It is not easy for any of us to go through life's trials...but be assured that there are rewards for our perseverance. We will become more mature.
